Scrum Master

Role overview

The company is hiring a remote Scrum Master for a contract engagement of more than 2 months. The role focuses on guiding Agile software development teams, improving delivery flow, and supporting continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

What you will do

• Steer Agile delivery teams as the Scrum Master to help projects move forward successfully and to encourage ongoing process improvement.
• Run core Scrum events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Oversee Scrum routines, sprint execution, release coordination, and the upkeep of Scrum artifacts.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, QA teams, managers, and business stakeholders.
• Identify and clear blockers, handle project risks, and advocate Agile practices across cross-functional groups.
• Use SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and software testing approaches to support delivery of high-quality outcomes.
• Track work and progress using VersionOne or a comparable Agile management platform.
• Help ensure projects are completed on time while meeting quality expectations and customer satisfaction goals.

What the role requires

• At least 5 to 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting technology or software development work.
• Public Trust Clearance is mandatory.
• A Certified Scrum Master credential, or an equivalent certification, is required.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, though equivalent additional experience may also be considered.
• Strong ability in analysis, organization, communication, leadership, and problem-solving.
• Experience with DevSecOps, payroll systems, SDLC best practices, and mainframe environments is an added advantage.

This is a W2 contract role. The position is remote and the contract duration is 2+ months.
