SAP ABAP Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant based in Visakhapatnam to join our dynamic team. This role requires 6 to 15 years of experience and at least 15 years of full-time education (including 10th, 12th, and graduation). You will engage with a variety of SAP modules focused on manufacturing and supply chain operations, working to design, develop, and maintain efficient ABAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage SAP ABAP programs supporting manufacturing and supply chain processes.
• Work across SAP modules such as MM, PP, SD, WM, and FI/CO, centering on manufacturing functionalities.
• Create RICEF objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
• Translate business requirements into technical ABAP applications.
• Develop and enhance reports using ALV, Interactive Reports, and CDS Views.
• Build interfaces utilizing IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and web services for system integration.
• Implement enhancements through User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancements Framework, and implicit enhancements.
• Design Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms for business documentation needs.
• Manage data migration using LSMW, BDC, and other data upload tools.
• Support end-to-end manufacturing processes such as production planning, inventory, and logistics.
• Conduct unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system robustness.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues ensuring compliance with SLA timelines.
• Optimize ABAP code to improve performance and scalability.
• Apply SAP HANA technologies including AMDP, CDS Views, and performance tuning techniques.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Adhere to IT governance, security protocols, and coding standards.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developments and processes.

Required Certifications and Skills

• SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP is mandatory.
• SAP HANA certification is preferred.
• ITIL Foundation certification required.
• Familiarity with Fiori/UI5, OData services, and SAP integration tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving aptitude, and excellent communication skills.
• Experience in manufacturing domain is essential.
