Job Location & Shift
Based in Nebraska City, NE, this is a full-time onsite role working the 3rd shift.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.90 to $24.90 per hour. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily sanitation activities by guiding and supporting team members while actively participating as an operator.
- Carry out demanding sanitation and housekeeping duties with specialized equipment in line with schedules, safety guidelines, and food safety standards.
- Uphold safe working conditions, comply with relevant regulations, maintain sanitation to ensure product quality, and observe lockout/tagout procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance and facility support tasks such as snow shoveling, salt application, painting, and supply ordering.
- Oversee scheduled inspections of sanitation equipment including steam and water hoses.
- Verify proper chemical concentrations through titration testing.
- Keep all production and sanitation documentation accurate and timely.
- Safely manage storage and handling of cleaning chemicals, using appropriate personal protective equipment and specialized sanitation tools.
- Execute detailed cleaning processes involving scraping, sweeping, washing, sanitizing, scrubbing, disassembling/reassembling equipment, and manual handling of containers.
- Perform any additional sanitation or facility-related duties assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- At least one year of experience working overnight shifts or weekends in wet, cold, physically challenging conditions with extensive personal protective equipment.
- One year of hands-on experience performing labor-intensive sanitation tasks using specialized equipment.
- Six months experience adhering to sanitation schedules, safety regulations, and lockout/tagout requirements.
- Six months experience ensuring completion of sanitation and production paperwork.
- Six months experience in safe chemical handling and concentration measurement during sanitation activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years’ sanitation experience in food manufacturing or industrial production.
- Three years’ informal leadership, training, or guidance experience with sanitation teams.
- Three years working knowledge of sanitation chemicals, equipment, and food safety standards.
- Three years’ experience coordinating sanitation tasks during overnight or weekend shifts.
