Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Sales Engineer based in Rajkot who will blend technical expertise with commercial insight to support industrial customers. The professional will identify client requirements, offer tailored products and solutions, and showcase technical demonstrations to emphasize benefits and performance.
Key Responsibilities
The position entails preparing quotations, pursuing leads, negotiating pricing and terms, and managing the entire sales process from initiating contact to closing deals. The Sales Engineer will provide client technical assistance by answering product-related inquiries, coordinate internally to secure prompt delivery, and maintain detailed records via CRM or sales tracking software. Building lasting relationships with customers, collecting market intelligence, and collaborating with operations and product teams to improve offerings and enhance client satisfaction are also vital aspects.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The ideal candidate should have strong sales engineering prowess, proficient in solution-selling and translating technical product attributes into business advantages. Proven experience in sales and customer service with a successful record of meeting sales goals and nurturing positive relationships is expected. Candidates must be able to deliver technical support by diagnosing product issues and advising on proper usage and applications. Clear communication skills to articulate complex technical ideas to varied audiences and craft polished presentations are important. Prior familiarity with industrial products or mechanical/electrical systems, potentially from industrial distribution or manufacturing, is advantageous. A diploma or degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field is preferred. Proficiency in office productivity software and CRM applications, along with strong organizational and time management competencies, are required. This on-site role requires willingness to work at the Rajkot location with some customer visits as needed.
