Regional Supply Manager

Position Overview

The Regional Supply Manager position at Sweetgreen involves overseeing supply chain functions across designated regions to ensure efficient logistics, product availability, distribution, and purchasing activities. This role requires close teamwork to support the fleet and to manage diverse supply channels, including produce, grocery, services, and smallwares.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage cost structures to align with financial objectives and achieve cost savings.
• Improve operator service indicators such as on-time deliveries, order accuracy, and full compliance with specifications.
• Utilize data analytics to monitor supply chain performance through dashboards, KPIs, and metrics.
• Plan and execute operations in logistics, product supply, distribution services, purchasing, and risk management.
• Develop and implement long-term supply management plans, including three-year financial forecasting and positive NPV business cases.
• Collaborate with farmers, suppliers, and distributors to optimize regional transportation and distribution methods.
• Maintain inventory levels using software tools and direct trading partners during product phase-ins and phase-outs.
• Oversee third-party distributors to ensure compliance with delivery and ordering performance standards.
• Support stakeholder coordination by fostering communication platforms, ensuring data integrity, and assisting culinary and marketing initiatives via procurement analytics.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in regional supply chain management, logistics, distribution, and inventory systems.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including proficiency with transportation and inventory management technologies.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Commitment to sustainability, including expertise in sustainable logistics, regenerative agriculture, animal welfare, greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1, 2, 3), foodservice traceability, and waste management.
• Effective leadership and communication skills to manage and influence regional teams and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with problem-solving aptitude for regional supply chain initiatives.

• Optimize regional logistics costs and operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance in inventory management levels.
• Ensure distributor performance in on-time deliveries, case-fill, and order perfection.
• Boost purchasing operations’ efficiency and data quality.
• Adhere to 100% food safety regulations with continuous improvement.
• Implement safety programs for personnel and assure public safety standards.
• Achieve a 98% service level agreement (SLA) with regional partners.
• Attain minimum 5% annual cost savings and cost-effective logistics.
• Apply six-sigma quality processes to maintain zero-defect operations.
• Promote sustainable sourcing and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 10% annually.

• Position reports to Senior Manager of Supply Management.
• Work location is in-market within the United States.
• Role requires extensive travel (~50%).
• Salary range provided is $90,000 to $119,000 per year, based on experience.
