Role Overview
The company seeks a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager to spearhead sales growth and business expansion within a specified region. This position involves overseeing regional sales metrics, nurturing key retail and distribution alliances, guiding independent sales reps, and executing strategies to maximize brand penetration and sales volumes.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for all sales operations and overall performance within the assigned territory.
- Craft and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue, profit, and distribution targets.
- Manage and enhance relationships with retailers, distributors, dealers, and strategic clients, while identifying opportunities to acquire new business.
- Recruit, mentor, and motivate independent sales representatives to elevate territory results.
- Regularly engage with customers through visits, business evaluations, and sales presentations.
- Represent KastKing at trade shows, dealer and consumer events, product reviews, and other industry gatherings.
- Design and execute promotional campaigns, merchandising plans, and retail initiatives to drive both product intake and sales conversion.
- Collaborate with marketing on creation of sales tools, promotional materials, digital content, and in-store merchandising endeavors.
- Provide product management with customer feedback, competitive analysis, market insights, and suggestions for product enhancement.
- Forecast sales, manage budgets, inventory needs, and accurately predict demand to aid business planning.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, customer support, and supply chain teams to ensure excellent service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive CRM data, account strategies, sales forecasts, and performance reports.
- Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance while upholding KastKing’s brand image.
- Commit to extensive travel within the territory, occasionally requiring evening or weekend activities and possible international trips.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or comparable professional experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in sales within fishing tackle, outdoor sporting goods, retail, distribution, or similar consumer goods industries.
- Demonstrable success in managing retail accounts, distributor and dealer networks, and independent sales teams.
- Proven track record in business growth and developing fresh customer relationships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of territory management, retail sales methods, distribution channels, merchandising, and promotional/sell-through strategies.
- Skilled in sales forecasting, budgeting, inventory control, and demand planning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working in a remote setting.
- Willingness to undertake frequent travel, including international.
- A proactive and cooperative mindset focused on solutions.
