Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview

An established Irish construction contractor with ongoing projects throughout Munster is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to support their current engagements in County Cork. This position offers a salary range from €50,000 to €60,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budget plans for various construction projects.
• Manage tender processes, including preparation of bills of quantities and associated contract documents.
• Supervise contract terms to ensure compliance, handling any contractual variations or claims as they arise.
• Conduct frequent site inspections to track project progress and maintain cost control.
• Deliver regular financial reporting and updates to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a level 8 qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• At least three years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with exposure to civil engineering projects.
• Competency in industry-standard software such as Cubit and Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of current construction contracts, especially within the public sector.
• Strong practical understanding of construction site operations.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively, optimizing productivity to achieve demanding objectives.
