Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE)

The OIE's mission is to coordinate and enhance assessment procedures across campus to support data-driven decision making. It highlights the university's academic quality, research output, and compliance with best practices from local and global peer institutions. OIE spearheads all quality assurance and enhancement efforts including strategic monitoring, accreditation, rankings improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of OIE, the Quality Assurance Compliance Coordinator ensures the university's adherence to relevant accreditation academic standards and regulatory frameworks established by UAE educational authorities. The role is integral for maintaining accreditation status and fostering quality enhancement in teaching, research, and knowledge creation aimed at achieving top global educational rankings. The position involves establishing monitoring mechanisms and cyclic compliance reviews to guide institutional units regarding regulatory expectations and improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously oversee and assure compliance with standards set by national and international accreditation bodies.
• Keep abreast of accreditation changes and effectively communicate updates to university stakeholders.
• Verify institutional policies and procedures align with international regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic policy reviews to maintain alignment with current regulations and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with academic departments to interpret and implement applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Coordinate with administrative units ensuring effective policy implementation and compliance updates.
• Adhere to department processes, policies, and standard operating procedures to maintain consistent, controlled operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of three years' experience in regulatory compliance within higher education or a related field.
• Proven background supporting accreditation processes and implementing corrective administrative measures.

Skills and Competencies

• Deep understanding of accreditation systems and regulatory mandates.
• Ability to analyze complex regulations and convey clear guidance to various stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in developing and reviewing institutional policies is advantageous.

Additional Information

• The position is full-time, onsite at the university in Sharjah, UAE.
