Quality Assistant

About the Role

This position is part of the operations at a BIS-recognized jewellery hallmarking center. The Quality Assistant will engage in daily hallmarking and quality assurance tasks ensuring conformity to BIS standards. Routine duties include data entry, handling jewellery packing and unpacking, machine operation, testing, counting, and weighing items.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in hallmarking and quality assessment processes as per BIS guidelines.
• Perform systematic data entry and manage jewellery packing and unpacking.
• Operate relevant machinery for testing and quality verification.
• Conduct counting, weighing, and testing of jewellery items in alignment with quality parameters.
• Ensure compliance with BIS standards including IS 15820, IS 1417, and IS 1418.
• Handle daily process operations and other quality assurance activities delegated by the manager.

Candidate Profile

• 0 to 3 years of experience in process-oriented industrial settings.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage urgent tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for administrative and reporting tasks.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.

Compensation and Benefits

• Fixed salary package inclusive of all statutory benefits ranging approximately from 150,000 to 225,000 INR per year.
