Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Scheduler to join our program team. Reporting to the Principal Scheduler, the successful candidate will provide technical scheduling advice and support to project managers, aiding in the effective delivery of program objectives. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Osborne, South Australia or Henderson, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, plan, and schedule maintenance activities for submarines comprehensively.
- Document and analyze the sequence of tasks, their dependencies, durations, and resource needs.
- Develop detailed project schedules with identification and verification of critical paths.
- Oversee and control project activities by managing planning and execution phases.
- Update schedules and activity statuses using data collected from multiple sources.
- Reschedule activities after discussions with relevant stakeholders as needed.
- Communicate schedule trends and status updates to project managers and teams.
- Conduct detailed schedule analyses for stakeholders to inform decision-making.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- A minimum of three years’ experience in project scheduling, planning, or control within complex projects, ideally in Defence, Shipbuilding, or heavy engineering sectors.
- Proficiency with Primavera or comparable project scheduling software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and competence in managing complex datasets.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management techniques in program or project contexts.
- Familiarity with Power BI is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities related to cost and schedule performance reporting.
Eligibility Requirements
The role mandates possession of a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. The eligibility to apply is conditional upon obtaining and retaining these clearances. Applicants can verify their eligibility via the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
