About Bluebird
Bluebird is a U.S.-wide provider of physical security, IT networking, and telematics installation and support services, with its headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia. The company plans and delivers access control, video, and connected-technology projects for organizations with multiple sites, including retail chains, healthcare and senior living groups, corporate campuses, hospitality businesses, manufacturers, and similar operators. These engagements often span many locations across different states, and Bluebird’s approach is designed to keep every rollout on schedule, within budget, and documented to a consistent standard.
Delivery is coordinated through an assessment-led Blueprint process and executed through a nationwide installation network.
Role Overview
Bluebird is looking for a Project Manager who can handle a wide variety of complex work. Experience in low-voltage or physical security projects is helpful, but not required; the company will teach the technology. The main requirement is strong judgment, exceptional organization, and clear communication, along with the ability to apply a repeatable process across many projects at once.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of active projects across multiple states and ensure each one follows Bluebird’s standard workflow: consistent intake, regular cadence, complete documentation, and a dependable client experience. Candidates with backgrounds in construction, technology rollouts, logistics, events, healthcare, consulting, or any other field involving deadlines, budgets, and many moving parts are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee projects from start to finish, coordinate work across teams and locations, keep communication flowing, and maintain accurate records in company systems. You will also help improve the internal playbook by capturing lessons learned from completed projects.
Project Delivery
- Lead each project through kickoff, scheduling, procurement coordination, installer mobilization, installation oversight, punch-list resolution, and final closeout.
- Handle several active projects at the same time across different states and time zones without missing critical details.
- Deliver every engagement using Bluebird’s standard framework so that clients receive the same polished experience regardless of location.
- Take full ownership of schedule, budget, and margin performance for every project you manage.
Communication
- Act as the main contact for clients, manufacturers, and installers.
- Provide proactive updates so that clients and leadership are never left waiting for status information.
- Prepare clear written materials, including updates, meeting notes, and closeout documents, that are suitable for client review.
- Escalate issues early and present solutions instead of unexpected problems.
Organization and Systems
- Keep schedules, documentation, and financial records up to date in the CRM and project management tools at all times.
- Work with the operations team to coordinate installer selection and scheduling.
- Confirm quality through structured checklists, photo records, and closeout validation.
- Capture lessons learned and feed them back into the operating playbook so the process continues to improve.
Required Background
Bluebird is seeking someone with at least 3 years of experience managing projects that involve firm deadlines, real budgets, and multiple stakeholders. The specific industry is flexible. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively in both writing and speech, learns new systems quickly, follows a defined process consistently, takes personal ownership of outcomes, and is comfortable using modern productivity tools.
Preferred Experience
These qualifications are useful but not mandatory, and they can be developed in the role.
- Experience in low-voltage or physical security work, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion systems, or networking.
- Background in construction or field-based project work, including the ability to read plans and drawings.
- Experience managing subcontractors or vendors.
- PMP, CAPM, or an equivalent certification.
Work Environment
Bluebird is a fast-moving, rapidly expanding company. The role offers early ownership, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to see projects progress from scope through to a live, functioning system. Most of the work is performed remotely, with travel to project locations as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) options.
- Professional development support and a path for growth within a scaling national organization.
Equal Opportunity
Bluebird provides equal employment opportunity and values diversity and inclusion. Applications are welcome from all qualified individuals, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or disability status.
