About AeroCloud
AeroCloud is a pioneering software provider revolutionizing airport operations through its innovative Airport Operating Systems (AOS), Passenger Processing Solutions (PPS), and Passenger Flow Management technologies. Our mission is to assist airports worldwide in understanding and managing passenger and aircraft movements efficiently by being their primary technology partner and support resource.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of airport technology implementations across North America. This position goes beyond task tracking, demanding full ownership from contract signing to business-as-usual (BAU) handover, coordinating complex implementations in active airport environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, sequential delivery plans from customer contracts and requirements, establishing milestones and identifying critical paths.
- Manage dependencies involving hardware procurement, software setup, airline integration, and project go-live.
- Maintain project momentum by proactively identifying and resolving blockers and escalating issues as necessary to adhere to schedules.
- Use AeroCloud’s project delivery platform to track tasks, milestones, approvals, and status accurately reflecting project progress.
- Serve as the primary contact for airports during implementation, setting clear expectations and communicating risks or delays promptly.
- Preserve strong client relationships by managing scope changes diplomatically and supporting related commercial negotiations like change orders and timelines.
- Coordinate cross-functional internal teams including engineering, product, logistics, and airline onboarding to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Facilitate structured meetings such as standups and progress reviews, and ensure all project documentation and task tracking is comprehensive and up to date.
- Work effectively with UK delivery leadership across time zones to synchronize efforts.
- Acquire a solid understanding of AeroCloud’s platform integration with airport systems, including cloud services, infrastructure, networking, hardware, and airline departure control system connectivity.
- Engage confidently with airport IT and technical teams on deployment topics like networking configurations, endpoint setups, firewall rules, and other operational aspects.
- Anticipate and escalate technical risks with relevant context to enable prompt resolution by engineering.
- Maintain all project documentation such as plans, risk logs, change registers, and meeting notes, ensuring they are finalized before UAT and go-live.
- Lead the transition from implementation phase to BAU support by briefing support teams, confirming asset inventories, and ensuring client independence.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and integrate lessons learned into ongoing delivery practices.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated success managing complex technical implementations on schedule and according to scope in client-focused roles.
- Proven ability to handle multiple stakeholders including technical experts, commercial teams, and operational personnel simultaneously.
- Strong technical comprehension of infrastructure and software deployments without needing to be an engineer.
- Rigid discipline in project governance, task management, status reporting, and usage of delivery tools.
- Capable of prioritizing among multiple concurrent projects within fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High organization skills, attention to detail, and proactive in task follow-up.
- Comfortable with remote work and collaborating across US and UK time zones.
- Willingness to travel to various airport locations within the US as necessary.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience within the aviation industry, airport technology, or transportation infrastructure sectors.
- Background in SaaS or managed service deployments.
- Familiarity with airport common-use systems such as CUPPS, CUSS, or SSBD, and airline Departure Control Systems.
- Experience managing hardware-driven projects involving logistics, installations, and commissioning.
- Project Management certifications like PMP or Prince2 although a proven track record is also highly valued.
- Experience collaborating with infrastructure, networking, or endpoint management departments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary package.
- Access to premium equity-sharing schemes.
- 20 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays.
- A birthday day off annually.
- Robust upskilling and professional training opportunities.
- 401(k) plan with employee contributions.
- Employer-covered health insurance.
- Company-funded dental and vision insurance.
