Project Engineer

Role Overview

The Project Engineer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring all necessary project documentation for assigned activities is ready prior to submission to clients, suppliers, or internal departments. They coordinate and follow up with other departments and suppliers to guarantee deliverables are met and maintain ongoing communication with the consultant's engineer throughout the project execution. Monitoring project progress and reporting issues to the Construction Manager are integral tasks, along with ensuring timely approval of delivered goods and completed works.

The role demands daily interaction with project team members and relevant department personnel, strict adherence to company procedures including Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Management System (HSE), and Information Security policies. The Project Engineer also prepares construction schedules, estimates manpower, equipment and material needs, and maintains coordination with the Construction Manager, planning engineer, technical team, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Health, Safety & Security Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Basatin's HSE policies, procedures, and legal safety requirements.
• Keep updated with changes and additions to health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Comply with information security policies, complete security awareness training, and report incidents promptly.
• Maintain system security by not disabling firewalls or antivirus software and safeguarding access credentials.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Irrigation, MEP, Electrical Engineering, or Agriculture.
• At least 4 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Project Engineer role or one completed project in a similar position.
• Demonstrated leadership and team coordination capabilities managing diverse site teams.
• Strong technical background in construction methods, project execution, and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
• In-depth understanding of HSE standards, quality assurance, and compliance regulations.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to details.
