Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and organised Project Coordinator to join our Commercial Projects team based in Silverwater. This role involves close collaboration with Project Managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients to effectively manage EV charging infrastructure projects from inception to completion. It suits individuals who thrive in managing multiple priorities, cultivating stakeholder relationships, and ensuring projects meet safety, schedule, and budget criteria. You will contribute significantly to the expansion of Australia's EV charging network.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination of EV charging infrastructure projects ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and deadlines.
- Assist Project Managers with subcontractor engagement, contract management, and project administration tasks.
- Manage supplier coordination to guarantee timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Track project milestones and support risk and issue mitigation efforts.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and uphold health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Perform site inspections and assist in enforcing safety and environmental protocols.
- Compile project progress reports and manage communications with stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary liaison for clients, offering project updates and addressing inquiries.
- Foster positive working relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Support proposal development and take part in client meetings when necessary.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are highly organised with excellent communication capabilities and adept at juggling multiple priorities within fast-paced environments. They should be collaborative, proactive problem solvers who can take ownership and deliver practical solutions. Prior experience in electrical, construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy sectors is preferred, alongside a strong interest in supporting Australia's shift to sustainable transportation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated project coordination experience in construction, electrical, infrastructure, or similar sectors.
- Familiarity with electrical, building, or infrastructure project environments.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to handle multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.
- Experience engaging with contractors, suppliers, and external clients.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with solar, EV charging, or electrical infrastructure projects is advantageous.
