Project Controls Engineer

Overview

This role involves leading the execution of mechanical construction activities, including equipment installation, piping, structural fabrication, welding, hydrostatic testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with all relevant drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all mechanical work scopes, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
• Manage and coordinate mechanical engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to meet daily operational targets.
• Plan and monitor resource allocation including manpower, materials, and tools to optimize on-site performance.
• Participate actively in meetings with clients and consultants, conduct site walkthroughs, and ensure timely resolution of any observations or issues.
• Collaborate with testing and commissioning teams during final handover to support smooth project completion.
• Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices as well as quality standards throughout the execution phase.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation such as inspection reports, weld logs, test packages, and daily progress records.
• Coordinate with departments like planning, stores, and procurement to ensure material availability and readiness of work fronts.
• Review fabrication and erection drawings and address technical or site challenges in conjunction with engineering teams.
