About the Role
Join Macy’s as a Seasonal Parade Studio Assistant supporting the Parade Studio and Production Management teams in the production of the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This temporary onsite position involves project coordination, general office support, and assisting with various operational tasks related to holiday events and attractions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cross-functional project management activities throughout the parade production cycle.
- Coordinate scheduling for meetings, trainings, deliveries, and distribution of event tickets.
- Manage shipping tasks and facilitate the drop-off of supplies and materials.
- Prepare and maintain RSVP lists, sign-in sheets, and security documentation.
- Perform general administrative duties such as answering phone calls, reservation handling, conducting research, entering data, and placing orders for office supplies.
- Provide assistance during events, including customer service support.
- Support operational activities including load-in/load-out, event setup, and strike for various Macy’s holiday events and trainings.
- Operate large passenger vans requiring a valid driver’s license.
- Help with purchase card reconciliation and organize related documentation.
- Assist with catering orders, event setup, and cleanup efforts.
- Promote an inclusive and respectful workplace culture, fostering strong relationships within teams and with customers and communities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience with administrative and clerical tasks preferred.
- Proficient and accurate data entry skills.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication abilities.
- Customer service experience is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and multitask effectively under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with flexibility.
- Background in theatrical or event production, stage management, or company management is a plus.
- Professional demeanor aligned with Macy’s brand values.
- Basic computer skills mandatory; familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher is preferred.
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods (at least two consecutive hours), and engage in activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and ladder climbing.
- Good visual acuity including close and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage range from $21.53 to $35.70 depending on job specifics and location.
