Position Overview
MSA Safety is seeking a motivated and passionate Production Assembly Associate for their manufacturing facility located in Ballbrit, Galway, Ireland. The company is dedicated to innovation and mission-driven safety solutions aimed at protecting people and assets worldwide.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Night shift hours: Monday 16:30-01:00, Tuesday to Thursday 16:30-02:00, Friday 16:30-00:00
- Pay rate is $15.09 per hour with an additional 20% evening shift allowance

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Conduct functional testing of finished PCBs
- Assemble tested PCBs into appropriate enclosures
- Perform light mechanical assembly of enclosures and components
- Conduct preparation and testing of PCBs
- Verify electronic performance and document test results
- Participate in cross-training across different manufacturing functions to enhance skills
- Operate and perform scheduled maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Hand solder and populate surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole mount (THM) components on PCBs
- Follow and meet or exceed internal quality standards, IPC-A-610 workmanship standards, 6S, and MSA’s Operating System requirements
- Demonstrate flexibility and cooperation with team members and other departments while completing tasks
Qualifications
- Required: prior experience in manufacturing roles with mechanical or process concepts aptitude
- Preferred: experience in product assembly and testing roles
- Required education: minimum Irish Leaving Certificate or equivalent
- Preferred education: certificate or diploma in electronics
