Product Owner

Overview

Xebia is hiring an experienced Product Owner to support large-scale digital and data transformation programs within the airlines and aviation space in Abu Dhabi. The position calls for someone who can connect business priorities with technology execution, take ownership of product delivery from end to end, and help steer complex initiatives across Agile Release Trains.

What the role involves

You will work across business, technology, vendor, and leadership stakeholders to shape delivery outcomes and keep product execution on track. The role is focused on building and delivering data-led solutions in an enterprise Agile environment, with a strong emphasis on SAFe practices and disciplined delivery governance.

Key focus areas

• Lead product delivery across the full lifecycle, from discovery and prioritisation through execution and release.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
• Run and support SAFe Agile ceremonies, including PI planning, sprint execution, and release governance.
• Use WSJF-based prioritisation to guide backlog decisions and delivery sequencing.
• Coordinate closely with stakeholders from business, technology, external vendors, and leadership teams.
• Monitor delivery health using metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, cycle time, predictability, PI objective achievement, and defect leakage.
• Contribute to the delivery of data solutions across modern platforms and architectures, including Databricks, lakehouse and medallion patterns, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and BI/analytics tools.

Required background

The role requires solid prior experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst, along with direct exposure to the airline industry. Candidates should also have hands-on experience working in SAFe Agile environments and delivering within complex enterprise settings.
