Product Manager (Based in China)

Role Vision

The company is focused on establishing proprietary production processes alongside its trusted long-term manufacturing partner. Having worked together for seven years, they aim to gain greater control to meet the specific needs of the creator economy. This role is based in or near Yiwu, Zhejiang, working closely with the Chinese team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement new production procedures covering sampling through to mass production delivery.
• Manage daily communication with manufacturers and secondary suppliers.
• Enhance and maintain timelines, production volumes, and product specifications for each release.
• Improve quality checkpoints including cutting, plating, and packaging processes.
• Quickly identify and address any quality problems, ensuring proper records are kept.
• Act as the liaison connecting the Chinese production team with the headquarters in Germany.
• Compile and deliver weekly updates on manufacturing progress and key performance indicators.
• Organize punctual shipments in coordination with DHL Express or alternate logistics providers.
• Source and assess new suppliers in line with company standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience creating production processes that adhere to Western quality benchmarks.
• At least three years working in production, quality assurance, or supply chain management roles.
• Native-level fluency in Mandarin and proficient business English communication.
• Knowledge of German is advantageous.
• Experience in industries such as fashion, jewelry, or consumer products is desirable.
• Strong aptitude in coordinating suppliers and resolving operational issues.
• Experience collaborating with international teams is highly preferred.
• Competent with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with project management tools like Asana is a bonus.
• Understanding of production workflows in jewelry or fashion sectors.
