Product Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Product Designer to join our team in Hrastnik, Slovenia. The successful candidate will focus on crafting outstanding user experiences within complex, regulated product spaces such as fintech, healthtech, or legaltech. This role involves partnering closely with varied teams to prioritize user-centric design throughout the product lifecycle while contributing to and maintaining our unified design system.

Key Duties

• Engage in the comprehensive design process, from research to delivery, including creating wireframes, prototypes, and polished mockups for features involving complex regulated workflows like pricing or Medicaid-type systems.
• Maintain and evolve components within the existing design system, adhering to set standards to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
• Create visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces emphasizing interaction design and clear, role-specific dashboards with relevant KPI visualizations.
• Justify design choices in alignment with product objectives and user needs when communicating with stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, actively participating in design workshops and joint problem-solving sessions.
• Integrate AI-powered tools into daily design routines to enhance speed and creativity in ideation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Between three to five years of product design experience, supported by a portfolio demonstrating abilities in visual design, interaction design, and strategic product thinking, preferably within regulated or complex sectors.
• Deep understanding of web standards including responsive design and accessibility best practices.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret dense regulatory and complex information and simplify it effectively for users; strong visual design skills are advantageous but not essential.
• Experience working within high-complexity domains such as fintech, healthtech, legaltech, or related industries.
• Proficient in collaborating within existing design systems, capable of crafting new scalable and reusable components.
• Experienced in conducting design workshops and collaboration-focused problem-solving activities.
• Confident in presenting and defending design decisions, including diplomatically negotiating with stakeholders or engineers; proficiency in English at C1 level or higher required.
• Skilled in usability testing and conducting user interviews.
• Expert use of Figma for design work.
• Proactive, self-driven professional passionate about innovation and continuous learning.
• Fluency in AI tool integration in everyday workflow, going beyond occasional use.
• Bonus: Experience designing dashboards and data visualizations.
