Position Overview

The Merchandising team is looking to hire a Product Designer on a temporary basis to help craft and execute designs for apparel, accessories, packaging, and promotional merchandise. This full-time role lasts six months with the possibility of extension depending on business needs. The Product Designer will closely collaborate with internal creative teams, production vendors, and various stakeholders to transform product ideas into tangible outputs from conception to final delivery.

This role offers valuable exposure to the creative and commercial aspects of the music and entertainment industries, requiring a blend of strong design aesthetics, organizational skills, and effective project execution. The position is hybrid-based in Santa Monica, CA, blending onsite work (3 days/week) and remote work (2 days/week).

Key Responsibilities

• Design graphic elements for merchandise including apparel, accessories, packaging, and promotional items.
• Develop mockups, technical specification packs, and presentation materials for internal evaluations and vendor communications.
• Manage and systematically organize design assets and production-related documents.
• Engage actively in brainstorming sessions and contribute to shaping the creative direction of product lines.
• Provide ongoing support with assorted design-related and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program focused on Graphic Design (2D & 3D), Visual Arts, or a closely related discipline.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Demonstrates strong visual design and typography capabilities.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant examples of design projects is required.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is estimated between $80,000 and $90,000 annually. This figure represents an initial estimate and excludes benefits and other remuneration elements.
