Job Overview

We are expanding our team in Qatar and seek experienced Process Safety Consultants to join our distinguished group delivering complex projects across Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and other GCC countries. This role emphasizes both technical growth and leadership opportunities within a dynamic and well-established organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with clients, applying engineering expertise to uphold stringent process safety and risk management standards.
• Deliver solutions to meet safety and operational objectives while pursuing leadership roles within projects.
• Manage multiple assignments efficiently under senior engineers’ guidance, maintaining high organizational standards.
• Develop and lead cross-functional teams and support client relationships, with a focus on business growth (senior consultants).

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection or Safety Engineering.
• Relevant experience between 5 to 15+ years in process safety management, engineering design, manufacturing operations, or consulting.
• Proven ability to develop business including proposal writing and client presentations.
• Strong self-motivation, leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with a dedication to client satisfaction.
• Experience creating, writing, and enforcing PSM plans, procedures, design standards, operating procedures, and management systems.
• Capability to mentor client personnel ensuring sustainable PSM program implementation.
• Experience working in brownfield operating environments.

Preferred Experience

• Expertise in process hazard analyses (PHA), risk assessments (Design Review, HAZID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA, ENVID, SIMOPS, LOPA, Bowtie Analysis, ALARP Demonstration).
• Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems and SIL assessment aligned with IEC61511 standards.
• Familiarity with Quantitative Risk Assessment studies such as consequence modeling, QRA, occupied building risk, toxic gas, fire and explosion assessments, EERA, ESSA, and 3-D F&G mapping.
• Identification and development of safety critical equipment performance standards.
• Experience with Qatar Energy MAHM Framework and Saudi ARAMCO standards.
• Middle East regional experience is advantageous.
• Business development skills with existing client connections beneficial.
