Role Summary

We seek a Principal Technology Architect in Mumbai to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of our cybersecurity awareness and phishing simulation platform, Aware. The role involves designing scalable backend and frontend systems, driving engineering leadership, ensuring delivery quality, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable, secure multi-tenant SaaS and on-prem backend systems adhering to high-performance and reliability standards.
• Lead microservices adoption and modernization initiatives.
• Manage and mentor both backend and frontend developers, promoting coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Own end-to-end feature and release cycles, including client-specific customizations and enterprise deployments.
• Optimize platform for concurrency supporting 100,000 to 200,000 users utilizing caching, queues, and asynchronous processing.
• Conduct load testing, capacity planning, and performance improvements.
• Oversee cloud and on-prem infrastructure, manage CI/CD pipelines, and implement monitoring, logging, and alerts.
• Apply secure coding based on OWASP guidelines, manage vulnerabilities and security compliance such as ISO 27001.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders, product teams, and clients, participating in technical reviews and solutioning discussions.

Required Technical Expertise

• Proficient in backend development with Node.js (Express.js) and API design (REST, JWT).
• Experience working with MongoDB and SQL databases.
• Front-end skills with React.js and Mithril.js, understanding of SPA architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, IAM, CloudWatch), Docker, containerization, and Nginx.
• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka and Redis queues.
• Strong understanding of network security including firewalls, email gateways, VPNs, and secure remote access.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with cybersecurity products, LMS platforms, or phishing simulation tools.
• Understanding of email delivery protocols like SMTP, SPF, and DKIM.
• Exposure to AI/LLM or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Experience with on-premise enterprise deployments.
• Knowledge of Golang and Python programming languages.
