Role Overview
The position of Pool Operator is full-time and involves comprehensive daily management and maintenance of the pool facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily pool upkeep tasks, such as vacuuming, debris skimming, and maintaining balanced water chemistry.
- Operate and clean the pool filtration systems regularly by backwashing, rinsing, and cleaning pump baskets.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the pool deck area, locker rooms, and guest facilities is upheld.
- Comply with Public Convenience Certificate (PCC) requirements as applicable.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Basic understanding of water quality management, including pool chemical knowledge, testing routines, and safe chemical handling.
- Proficiency in managing pool equipment like filters, pumps, heaters, and cleaning tools, with focus on preventative maintenance and routine checks.
- Commitment to safety, hygiene, and adherence to local health laws, including enforcement of pool regulations and incident response.
- Competence in keeping records related to test results, maintenance activities, and inventory tracking.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with guests, team members, and supervisors.
- Physical capability for manual labor such as equipment handling, cleaning, and outdoor work over extended periods.
- Previous experience in pool operation, lifeguarding, or facility maintenance is beneficial; certifications related to pool management or lifeguarding are an advantage.
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends and public holidays as per operational needs.
