About the Opportunity
Join the Infrastructure Services Works Department at Western Downs Regional Council as a Plant Operator specializing in grading. This position involves performing maintenance and construction duties by expertly operating the Council's fleet of civil construction and maintenance equipment. Tasks may vary based on Council direction, including executing work efficiently within set deadlines and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate civil construction and maintenance machinery with proficient skill.
- Communicate effectively to support proper upkeep of assigned equipment.
- Consistently complete assigned duties within agreed timelines.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate possesses knowledge and/or practical experience in civil construction and maintenance or equivalent fields. Applicants should hold a Current C Class Driver's Licence, with HR (Heavy Rigid) licence preferred, and the mandatory White Card certification for Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction. Familiarity with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) is advantageous.
