Planning Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Planning Manager to oversee all planning and scheduling operations for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in project controls, timeline management, and resource allocation to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, update, and manage project master schedules utilizing Primavera P6.
• Create baseline, recovery, and forward-looking schedules to guide project timelines.
• Track project progress continuously, detect any delays, and propose solutions to stay on course.
• Conduct critical path method analysis and assess risks related to scheduling.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to coordinate planning activities.
• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
• Ensure project activities align with planned schedules and contractual milestones.
• Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims through detailed scheduling reviews and documentations.
• Maintain adherence to project planning protocols, reporting standards, and client requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Planning Engineers on the project team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
• At least 10 years’ experience in construction planning, including minimum 3 years as a Planning Manager.
• Demonstrated track record managing planning for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong analytical abilities, leadership qualities, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to thrive within a high-paced, on-site project setting.

Technical Expertise

• Extensive experience with Primavera P6 is mandatory.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Power BI for preparing reports and dashboards.
• Competency in Microsoft Project software.
• Prior use of Aconex and/or Oracle Primavera Unifier is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of SAP or Oracle ERP systems is a plus.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD and interpreting construction drawings.
