Job Overview

The Picker / Packer role involves selecting products accurately from warehouse shelves, securely packaging shipments, applying correct labels, and preparing orders to ensure timely dispatch while upholding quality and safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Select items precisely based on order lists or pick tickets.
• Package goods carefully to avoid damage during transit.
• Apply accurate shipping labels to parcels.
• Inspect products for quality and correctness prior to packing.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report shortages as needed.
• Keep the warehouse tidy and well-organized.
• Use handheld scanners and other warehouse tools efficiently.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines in the workplace.
• Support loading and unloading deliveries when necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior warehouse experience is advantageous.
• Capability to lift and carry weights of 20–25 kilograms.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Work Environment and Conditions

• Work is performed in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for long periods.
• Shift work may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
