Overview
The Performance Engineer role focuses on diagnosing complex issues that surpass the capabilities of an internal performance testing team. This position encompasses five critical domains: the software development lifecycle and architecture, performance testing and validation, capacity planning, application performance management, and problem detection and resolution.
Role Summary
As a Dynatrace Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to manage and optimize Dynatrace environments. This includes configuring agents, monitoring application and infrastructure health, and ensuring superior system performance and user experience via dashboard setups, alert creation, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate independently as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Dynatrace-related tasks.
- Set up, administer, and maintain Dynatrace agents and monitoring environments.
- Oversee the performance of applications, infrastructure, and associated services.
- Design and manage customized dashboards, reports, and alerting mechanisms.
- Analyze performance metrics and diagnose bottlenecks to enhance system efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with development, operations, and support teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of systems via effective Dynatrace utilization.
- Advise on best practices for Dynatrace implementation and usage.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years specifically with Dynatrace Application Performance Management (APM).
- Completion of 15 years of full-time education.
- Proficient in Dynatrace administration, monitoring, and performance management.
- Experience with application development using at least one programming language and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure, application performance principles, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies is advantageous.
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and analytical thinking.
Additional Credentials
- Holding Dynatrace Certified Associate and/or Dynatrace Certified Professional certifications is beneficial.
- The position is based in Indore but candidates from other locations will also be considered.
