Role Summary

Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences is expanding its housekeeping team and inviting applications for multiple part-time housekeeper positions. Ideal candidates are energetic, meticulous, and enthusiastic to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment, ensuring guests enjoy a high standard of accommodation cleanliness and comfort.

Primary Duties

• Maintain impeccable cleanliness in guest rooms by making beds neatly, vacuuming floors, and sanitizing bathrooms thoroughly.
• Efficiently complete cleaning assignments within scheduled hours.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues to meet daily cleaning objectives and contribute to operational efficiency.
• Follow all safety guidelines and environmental protocols during cleaning tasks.
• Operate specialized cleaning tools and products safely with full training and equipment provided.
• Cultivate professional and respectful relationships with team members, guests, and contractors.

Work Schedule & Compensation

• Work shifts rotate throughout the week including Monday to Sunday.
• The hourly wage is NZD 24.50.

Required Qualifications & Abilities

• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail to uphold high cleaning standards.
• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn safe chemical handling and equipment use.
• Good physical condition with ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
• Clear and professional communication skills for interaction with guests and team members.
• Strong organization and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Positive, proactive mindset and a solid work ethic.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and public holidays.
