Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable and self-driven individual to join our multidisciplinary Parking Services Team. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all on-street vehicle parking regulations in the North Sydney local government area.
This position requires active outdoor work, including walking and standing for extended periods (four blocks of four hours each), in all weather conditions.
Key Duties
- Conduct foot patrols to monitor parking compliance
- Issue infringement notices for parking violations
- Prepare statements and represent the Council at court hearings as needed
- Deliver prompt and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders
- Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors or managers
Working Hours
The role is based on a rotating shift roster spanning seven days, with hours between 7:30 am and 10:00 pm.
Candidate Profile
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness to handle demanding outdoor duties
- Ability to remain resilient in stressful scenarios
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in work
- Competent in interpreting and explaining legislation
- Reliable team player with cooperative spirit
- Able to adhere to a published shift roster
- Professional personal appearance
- Possession of a current Driver’s Licence is desirable
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent is advantageous

Compensation and Terms
Salary range from $73,798 to $88,120 per annum plus 12% superannuation. Includes a $1,000 annual transport allowance and uniform provision.
Shift allowance varies by roster: up to 7.81% per annum for 9.5-hour rosters, or up to 6.58% for 8-hour rosters.
The position involves 76 hours per fortnight on a rotating shift schedule.
Additional Information
