Role Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee and enhance daily manufacturing operations, providing strategic guidance and direct leadership to ensure excellence in operations, punctual delivery, adherence to regulations, and ongoing process improvements. This role emphasizes performance management across production, workforce development, and operational efficiency while nurturing a culture focused on accountability, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
- Maintain compliance with AS9100 standards, customer specifications, and regulatory/contractual obligations.
- Manage daily operations, including production scheduling, staffing, and workflow enhancements.
- Coach and develop supervisors and team leads to enhance leadership skills and succession planning.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, waste reduction, and process standardization.
- Develop and maintain training programs for workforce skill development and adaptability.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR to meet operational objectives.
- Facilitate clear communication across shifts and departments to ensure consistency and alignment.
- Represent the company professionally with customers, auditors, and external parties.
- Exemplify company values, ethics, and dedication to excellence through leadership example.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent precision manufacturing experience.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in aerospace, defense, power generation, or similarly regulated manufacturing sectors.
- Thorough knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and experience with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Proven leadership capability, accountability management, and results achievement.
- Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills enabling data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills effective across organizational levels.
- Experience in production planning, capacity management, and resource allocation.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities within fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environments.
- Commitment to safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with OEM requirements related to manufacturing and quality standards for engine components.
Additional Details
PPG complies with export control laws such as ITAR; most roles require handling ITAR/EAR-controlled information. Eligible candidates must be U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, or classified as "U.S. Persons" under applicable regulations.

- Annual salary range between $95,000 and $105,000.
