About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee a key manufacturing facility located in Southern Germany. This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing leader passionate about operational excellence, staff development, and ongoing process enhancement within a dynamic production setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume complete responsibility for all manufacturing operations at the plant, driving world-class performance.
- Oversee production execution, aligning with goals related to quality, delivery, productivity, and budget.
- Promote and embed a culture emphasizing safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and motivate production leaders and operational teams to foster a high-performance workplace environment.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing programs and operational excellence initiatives to boost efficiency, streamline processes, and minimize waste.
- Manage the operational budget by identifying potential cost savings and optimizing resource usage.
- Develop and implement the facility’s operational strategy targeting long-term competitiveness and sustainable growth.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Management, R&D, and Commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
- Track operational metrics using KPIs and apply data-driven decision-making to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
- Regularly update senior leadership with business insights and strategic advice.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Bring over 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within electronics or advanced industrial sectors.
- Demonstrate extensive expertise in leading manufacturing operations with emphasis on Lean Manufacturing, Shop Floor Management, and continuous improvement.
- Proven capability to manage complex operations and drive organizational change successfully.
- Exemplary communication and stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Adopt a collaborative leadership approach and have a track record of cultivating engaged, high-performing teams.
- Fluent in both English and German languages.
