Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Operations Director to oversee and enhance our company's operational functions. This leadership position will be pivotal in steering enterprise-wide operational excellence by formulating and executing strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and promote sustainable business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's long-term objectives.
- Manage daily business operations to ensure high efficiency and productivity standards.
- Collaborate with top executives to set operational priorities and drive strategic projects.
- Track performance metrics (KPIs) and initiate improvements accordingly.
- Streamline business workflows and optimize resource use for maximum organizational effectiveness.
- Lead continuous improvement and enterprise operational excellence programs.
- Oversee financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and resource distribution.
- Enhance governance frameworks, internal controls, and risk mitigation protocols.
- Support and drive digital transformation initiatives, including automation and technology integration.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, regulatory standards, quality benchmarks, and best practices.
- Maintain robust relationships with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering key operational projects and organizational initiatives.
- Identify risks and develop robust business continuity and mitigation strategies.
- Analyze operational data to recommend enhancements that boost efficiency and profitability.
- Improve customer service delivery to enhance satisfaction and response times.
- Coach and develop leadership teams promoting accountability and collaboration.
- Represent the organization at executive meetings, industry forums, and strategic discussions.
- Prepare detailed executive reports, operational analyses, and strategic guidance for senior management.
- Promote an organizational culture centered on innovation, excellence, continuous learning, and high performance.
- Drive sustainable improvements that bolster competitive advantage and enduring growth.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields.
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Deep understanding of operations management, business strategy, leadership, and excellence frameworks.
- Expertise in process optimization, quality improvement, and organizational change.
- In-depth knowledge of budgeting, finance, risk management, governance, and continuity planning.
- Strong commercial insight with focus on operational performance and growth facilitation.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Advanced analytical, strategic planning, and executive decision skills.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP, business intelligence tools, operational reporting, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Kaizen, or related operational excellence methodologies advantageous.
- Strong project management, organizational planning, and change leadership skills.

Location and Work Type
This position is based onsite in Sengkang, Singapore, within the North East Community Development Council area and offered on a part-time basis.
