About the Role

Join the security team safeguarding one of Auckland’s busiest retail centers by overseeing overnight CCTV surveillance, detecting incidents, coordinating security responses, and performing frontline guarding duties. This full-time, permanent role operates on a Sunday to Thursday night shift roster from 8 PM to 6 AM, playing a crucial part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for retailers, contractors, staff, and visitors at LynnMall.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous monitoring of CCTV systems to identify safety hazards, suspicious activities, and security threats.
• Respond promptly to incidents and escalate concerns as necessary.
• Maintain thorough and accurate reporting, including CCTV logs and shift handovers.
• Assist with access control, alarm responses, welfare checks, and general site security tasks.
• Collaborate with security personnel, contractors, and emergency services to coordinate responses.
• Undertake guarding duties across day, evening, and overnight shifts when required.
• Handle CCTV footage and confidential information with strict discretion.
• Deliver professional customer service and foster a positive team atmosphere.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in security, control room operations, or retail security is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems is essential.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current Certificate of Approval (COA).
• Exceptional observation, communication, and report-writing abilities.
• Capability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• High integrity when dealing with sensitive information.
• Confidence working independently and collaboratively.
• Strong professional presentation and customer service skills.
• Reliable, adaptable, and committed to safety.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and at least 18 years old.
