NGIS Reservation Agent

Role overview

Amentum is hiring an NGIS Reservation Agent to support a specialized U.S. Navy lodging program on Diego Garcia. This role focuses on delivering dependable reservation support, front desk assistance, and guest service while following Navy lodging rules and internal operating procedures.

Core duties

• Handle guest bookings for Navy Gateway Inns & Suites with a strong focus on accuracy, professionalism, and compliance with lodging standards.
• Manage arrivals, departures, cancellations, reservation changes, and special requests through approved hotel or lodging systems.
• Respond to guest questions about room availability, rules, services, and general stay-related information.
• Keep reservation data, occupancy records, and daily activity logs current and accurate.
• Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to confirm room readiness and resolve guest concerns quickly.
• Check guest eligibility for military, government, and other authorized civilian stays.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and handle financial transactions according to established controls.
• Share guest issues, facility concerns, and operational updates with supervisors and Navy leadership as needed.
• Provide support at the front desk, including phone handling, guest assistance, and administrative coordination.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality requirements in all NGIS operations.

Minimum qualifications

• At least 1 to 3 years of experience in reservations, hospitality, lodging operations, or customer service.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A valid passport is required, along with the ability to travel internationally.
• The passport must remain valid for at least 12 months after the hire date.
• Candidates must be able to meet and continue meeting contract medical requirements for the full assignment.
• Ability to obtain and keep facility credentials or other required authorization is necessary.

Preferred background

• Experience with Navy lodging programs, NGIS operations, or similar military hospitality environments.
• Working knowledge of Navy lodging standards, reservation platforms, and guest service processes.
• Clear communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical and administrative instructions.
• Experience in remote, shipboard, industrial, or lodging-based environments is an advantage.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are preferred.
• Ability to secure the appropriate country visa under the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
