Module Lead - Azure Power BI

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Azure Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and PySpark, enabling them to develop interactive dashboards and reports that support business decision-making. This position combines technical proficiency with analytical aptitude to convert complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to business needs.
• Leverage Microsoft Fabric to boost data integration and analytical processes.
• Perform data transformation activities using PySpark to prepare datasets for analysis.
• Work closely with stakeholders to collect requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications.
• Validate and test data to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
• Offer training and assist users to optimize their use of Power BI features.
• Keep current with advancements and best practices in Power BI and data analytics fields.

Mandatory Skills

• Demonstrated experience with Azure Power BI platforms.
• In-depth understanding of Microsoft Fabric for data aggregation and analytics.
• Strong command of PySpark for processing and transforming large-scale data.
• Expertise in crafting complex DAX queries and comprehensive data models.
• Capable of handling extensive datasets and enhancing performance in Power BI environments.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Azure Data Lake and Azure SQL Database services.
• Familiarity with data visualization standards and techniques.
• Understanding of ETL tools and workflows.
• Basic awareness of machine learning fundamentals within analytics contexts.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or an allied domain.
• 5 to 8 years of professional experience focused on Power BI development and data analysis.
• Certifications related to Power BI or Azure platforms considered advantageous.
