Mid Weight Graphic Designer

Role overview

Rik and Ralph is hiring a Mid Weight Graphic Designer to join its creative team in Melbourne’s CBD. This full-time position offers a hybrid work setup and is suited to a designer who brings strong ideas, technical capability, and a sharp eye for detail. The role contributes to premium creative work across print, digital, and motion, alongside a collaborative, high-performing team.

This opportunity is ideal for a creative professional who is conceptually strong, highly communicative, and genuinely passionate about design. You will work on projects from early concept through final delivery for clients across a range of industries, with a strong focus on modern design standards and polished execution.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the design team each day, contributing ideas and supporting creative development across projects.
• Design high-quality content for multiple formats, including websites, apps, packaging, point of sale, and social media.
• Create supporting visual assets that help tell the story of new campaigns and product launches.
• Develop motion content such as light video edits, GIFs, and animations for digital channels.
• Produce digital media assets for paid social, programmatic placements, and brand campaigns while maintaining consistency with the brand.
• Help shape new concepts for internal initiatives and also execute approved creative directions.
• Prepare presentation materials when needed.
• Support quality control across design and production workflows, ensuring work aligns with brand standards.
• Keep digital files and design assets well organised and documented.

Requirements

• A degree in Communication Design or an equivalent qualification is expected.
• At least 2 years of professional agency experience is required.
• Prior video editing experience is essential.
• Strong conceptual and creative thinking abilities, with a track record of producing polished, high-detail design work.
• Ability to take feedback constructively, revise work effectively, and adapt when creative direction changes.
• Self-driven approach with the ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and/or Premiere.
• Solid skills in preparing presentations.
• Experience collaborating within a fast-moving team environment.
