Microsoft Dynamics 365 Technical Lead / Solution Architect (CRM)

Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Technical Lead / Solution Architect specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM to contribute to a significant digital transformation initiative. This 12-month contract role, based in Sydney CBD with a hybrid/remote arrangement depending on project needs, offers a top daily rate of $1150 with an immediate start. The successful candidate will work closely with various business and technology teams to architect, develop, and maintain enterprise Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy enterprise-grade Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM solutions on both cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Lead upgrades and migration efforts for transitioning Dynamics CRM systems to Dynamics 365 Online.
• Create custom plugins, workflow assemblies, and business logic components using C# and .NET frameworks.
• Design and implement integrations with external enterprise systems through REST APIs, Web APIs, OData, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Functions.
• Develop Power Platform applications, including Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI reports.
• Ensure high-quality, clean, maintainable code; implement automated deployments via Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation such as solution architecture, specifications, and support materials.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver projects on time and to quality standards.
• Provide production support, perform troubleshooting, and optimize performance of Dynamics CRM applications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven extensive commercial expertise in designing and developing Microsoft Dynamics CRM/Dynamics 365 solutions in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Proficiency in Dynamics 365 customization, plugin development, custom workflows, and data migration.
• Strong skills in integration of enterprise systems operating at high transaction volumes.
• Advanced programming abilities with C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experienced with RESTful APIs, Web API, and OData protocols.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure platforms including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Service Bus.
• Development experience using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Solid experience with version control systems such as Git, and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipeline configuration.
• Knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, and KingswaySoft tools.
• Ability to deliver projects using Waterfall methodology and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills with a practical, team-oriented, and hands-on mindset.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with Power Apps Component Framework (PCF), EasyRepro, and FakeXrmEasy frameworks.
• Familiarity with ASP.NET MVC/Core, TypeScript, Angular, React, Node.js, Bootstrap.
