Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer eager to advance their career by working on a variety of projects nationwide. The position is primarily based at our Birmingham or Braintree offices, with potential for hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver mechanical engineering solutions throughout project lifecycles from concept to completion.
- Conduct technical and condition surveys on existing structures and generate detailed reports.
- Prepare mechanical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications to meet project requirements.
- Produce detailed documentation and drawings during tender phases and assist in evaluating tenders.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external consulting parties to ensure integrated and compliant design outcomes.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant professional experience in building services and mechanical design.
- Progressing towards or interested in obtaining professional accreditation such as CIBSE, IMechE, or an equivalent.
- Competency in AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM/Revit and IES software tools.
- Must possess a full clean driving license and have access to a personal vehicle.
- Role subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Working Hours
The standard working schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
