Material Handler - Level 2 (Packer)

Role Overview

This position involves handling materials efficiently within a storage or warehouse setting, focusing on industrial packing responsibilities. The role requires experience in packaging and material movement using various equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform packaging tasks similar to those of an industrial packer.
• Manage loading and unloading of goods within warehouse or storage areas.
• Operate handling tools such as hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and conveyors to transport materials to and from planes, trucks, and trains, as well as throughout the storage facility.
• Follow established methods and procedures common to the field to ensure proper handling.
• Work primarily according to instructions and defined guidelines, with limited independent decision-making.
• Report activities and progress to supervisors or managers as required.

Requirements

• Experience in packaging, particularly industrial packing, is mandatory.
• Proficiency in the German language is essential for this role.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.

• The role functions under immediate supervision and is not typically expected to exercise independent judgment.
• This is a 20-month contract position based in Kassel, Germany.
