About the Role
Women in Financial Markets (WIFM), a nonprofit organization focused on advancing professionals within the financial services sector, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing & Events Manager. This pivotal position involves overseeing the full cycle of member events, managing marketing communications, fostering community engagement, administering CRM systems, supporting leadership development programs, and coordinating committees and volunteers. The role operates remotely but requires occasional attendance at key in-person events in the New York City metropolitan area, with estimated travel under 10%.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of virtual, hybrid, and in-person events across the United States and Europe/U.K., ensuring seamless delivery.
- Develop marketing assets such as invitations, banners, presentations, webpages, and promotional content for events.
- Set up and manage events within CRM systems and event platforms, including registration forms and segmentation of attendees.
- Deploy invitation and reminder email campaigns, monitor registration and attendance, and oversee cancellations and waitlists.
- Collaborate with speakers, venues, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers to ensure event success.
- Handle onsite logistics including attendee check-in, badge distribution, and event materials management.
- Conduct post-event follow-ups including communications, surveys, and analysis of engagement metrics.
- Manage WIFM's LinkedIn presence by publishing content and engaging with online members.
- Compose promotional and event-related copy, ensuring consistent branding across all communications.
- Create visual content using Canva and similar design tools to support marketing efforts.
- Support digital communications such as newsletters and maintain an active online community.
- Assist leadership development programs by managing virtual session logistics, tracking attendance, coordinating communication, facilitating mentoring matches, and maintaining records.
- Maintain accurate membership and CRM data, including tagging, segmentation, database hygiene, reporting, and processing updates or refunds.
- Support membership engagement and retention initiatives, including tier configuration within CRM systems.
- Coordinate board committees and volunteer groups by preparing meeting materials, tracking follow-ups, and managing communications across multiple stakeholder groups and time zones, including the EU/UK Committee.
- Manage website content updates, event registration pages, and job board postings; assist with website enhancements and rebranding endeavors.
- Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as needed and provide operational and administrative support to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in event management, marketing, nonprofit operations, member relations, or community engagement.
- Outstanding organizational and project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple simultaneous projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
- Comfortable engaging with senior executives, sponsors, volunteers, and organization members.
Technical Proficiencies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience with CRM and email marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Eventbrite, EveryAction, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Canva or comparable design software.
- Competence in WordPress or other website content management systems.
- Fluent in using Zoom and other virtual event technologies.
- Experience managing LinkedIn and social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in professional associations, nonprofit organizations, or membership-based entities.
- Experience supporting virtual and hybrid events.
- Knowledge of CRM reporting and audience segmentation techniques.
- Interest in leadership development, professional growth, and financial services industry.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time, exempt role offers a salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, contingent on experience and qualifications, along with a competitive benefits package disclosed during the interview process.
