Managing Director - Deep Tech and Additive Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Managing Director to join a rapidly growing deep-tech company that specializes in Additive Manufacturing and Industrial Innovation. This pivotal leadership position requires someone who can establish strategic direction, drive commercial success, and inspire a high-performance culture as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives that align with operations, technological advancements, and business development objectives.
• Lead all commercial functions including sales, marketing, forming strategic partnerships, and enhancing brand positioning.
• Manage financial operations encompassing forecasting, reporting, and relationships with investors.
• Take a leading role in fundraising efforts and capital acquisition to support accelerated growth.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a motivated and high-performing team.
• Ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance, and risk oversight throughout the organization.
• Work in close partnership with technical leadership to integrate advanced technologies into industrial applications.

Candidate Profile

• Educational background in Engineering or Physical Sciences is advantageous.
• Alternatively, candidates with business and general management experience originating from accountancy qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or ACMA are also suited.
• Demonstrated senior leadership experience within a commercial technology setting, preferably involving additive manufacturing, advanced engineering, or industrial technology sectors.
• Proven track record of successful fundraising and securing investment.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Entrepreneurial mindset equipped to thrive in start-up or scale-up environments.
