About the Role
The Oracle Fusion Development Manager at The Saudi National Bank (SNB) plays a pivotal leadership role within the IT Development division. This position is responsible for guiding the development, enhancement, integration, and ongoing support of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications. The role ensures that these initiatives align closely with the bank's business objectives, comply with enterprise architecture standards, and meet regulatory requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Oracle Fusion development teams handling application improvements, integrations, custom extensions, and production maintenance.
- Establish development approaches, technical standards, and best practice protocols for Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations.
- Engage closely with business units, Enterprise Architecture, EPD, Information Security, and IT Operations to deliver aligned and effective business solutions.
- Manage the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-launch support phases.
- Oversee Oracle Fusion software releases, patches, system upgrades, and conduct impact assessments rigorously.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture guidelines, security policies, auditing procedures, and banking regulatory frameworks.
- Evaluate and endorse technical designs, integration solutions, customizations, and application extensions.
- Direct third-party vendors and implementation partners to meet project quality expectations and scheduling commitments.
- Monitor application performance, availability, and service level agreements, resolving production-level challenges promptly.
- Promote ongoing enhancements by embracing Oracle Fusion Cloud best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
- Mentor and develop technical staff skills, fostering a culture of innovation and continual professional growth.
Educational and Professional Background
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master's degree is an added advantage.
- At least 8 years of enterprise application development, deployment, and support experience.
- Minimum 5 years in leadership or managerial roles overseeing application development teams.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering Oracle Fusion Cloud solutions in large-scale enterprises, preferably within banking or financial services.
Technical Proficiencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud architecture and development frameworks.
- Proven hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST and SOAP APIs, and related integration technologies.
- Experience working with Oracle Visual Builder (VB/VBCS), BI Publisher, OTBI, HDL, and FBDI tools.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion extensibility features, security frameworks, and application configuration options.
- Desired experience in Java and PL/SQL programming.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and source control management.
- Sound knowledge of cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection methods.
Preferred Certifications
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Foundations Associate.
- Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Certification in domains such as Financials, HCM, or Procurement.
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Certification.
