Manager Compliance

Overview

This position is accountable for overseeing statutory, sustainability, and ethical compliance across stores, corporate offices, vendors, sampling units, and warehouses. It focuses on establishing strong due diligence, safety protocols, and internal audits while promoting a compliance culture via training and awareness. The role includes active monitoring, reporting, and fostering continual advancements to uphold business integrity, operational excellence, and employee safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and implement compliance schedules for sustainability and due diligence activities such as ERT and EHS training, meetings, and workshops. Ensure all staff participate in POSH training, maintain monthly management dashboards, and guarantee timely resolution of POSH-related issues following company policies.
• Address disciplinary matters by conducting investigations, compiling inquiry reports and minutes, and issuing official disciplinary communications including show-cause, warning, and termination letters in line with company regulations.
• Coordinate and perform internal compliance audits monthly or quarterly across vendors, sampling units, warehouses, and retail outlets. Identify compliance gaps, enforce corrective actions within deadlines, and spearhead efforts to improve compliance metrics continuously.
• Create and maintain detailed compliance dashboards covering vendors, stores, corporate centers, sampling units, and warehouses. Regularly share updates with management and adjust dashboards to incorporate changes like openings or closures of stores and compliance records.
• Develop and oversee safety awareness and training initiatives across all units. Monitor completion of safety checklists, conduct monthly safety audits, and provide progress reports to management.
• Ensure statutory abstracts and notices are displayed and regularly updated in all facilities including stores and warehouses. Manage registrations, renewals, amendments, or closures of applicable licenses, address notices under labor laws, and facilitate complete resolution of violation cases per policy.
• Plan and execute periodic compliance awareness and statutory training for store managers and vendors, including quarterly refresher sessions. Track attendance, assess training effectiveness, and promote an organization-wide culture of compliance and ethics.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in compliance, audit, or legal management, ideally within the retail or apparel sectors.
