Maintenance Operative

Job Overview

This role involves performing small-scale maintenance tasks and repairs to property and equipment while meeting prescribed quality and safety standards. The Maintenance Operative will address customer issues, help prevent crime, and ensure continuous enhancement of site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe activities within the car park to discourage criminal behavior.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, local police crime prevention units, and nearby businesses.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections and report any issues requiring specialized attention.
• Safely and courteously transport materials and equipment as needed.
• Manage inventory of consumables and tools necessary for minor repair and maintenance work.
• Perform pre-operation vehicle inspections and execute minor vehicle repairs when required.
• Report any identified criminal incidents following company procedures.
• Regularly monitor and maintain the appearance and operational standards of allocated car park sites, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Adhere to all relevant quality, management, and compliance standards through regular reviews and audits.
• Take responsible care of personal health and safety as well as others affected by your work activities.
• Identify and mitigate hazards during site visits, patrols, and safety inspections to prevent risks to people and property.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in a customer service role is advantageous.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• A reasonable standard of education.
