About the Role

Vickerstock, partnering with a leading global FMCG producer renowned as one of the largest in the UK and Ireland, is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Manager for their advanced facility in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan. This permanent, full-time position involves spearheading asset management best practices and shaping the engineering strategy of the site. A key focus is on unifying engineering processes across multiple production lines and establishing comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations to guarantee efficient functioning of equipment, facilities, and systems.
• Manage budgets allocated for the department and spare parts, adhering to organizational financial guidelines.
• Plan, prioritize, and support maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and optimize cost efficiency.
• Ensure that all maintenance work complies with health, safety, food safety, environmental, and company policies and regulations.
• Lead team development through appraisals, training initiatives, and performance management actions.
• Foster a positive workplace atmosphere and administer disciplinary procedures as required.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to meet maintenance demands and support production objectives.
• Conduct regular team meetings to align maintenance activities with broader company goals.
• Develop, implement, and uphold maintenance policies and standards.
• Track and report on key performance indicators for both the site and central operations.
• Support introduction of new products and processes together with production and development teams.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced senior leader in a manufacturing environment.
• Possesses a minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Committed to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Broad understanding of site utilities, services, and infrastructure.
