Overview
As a Logistics Technician at Microsoft, you will be responsible for conducting cycle audits, managing incoming and outgoing deliveries, coordinating vendor security escorts, and accurately documenting all delivery activities. You will also initiate warranty claims and manage the return process for faulty equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned duties and escalate challenges during periods of high workload under guidance from senior Data Center staff.
- Collaborate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and manage the return of defective vendor hardware according to service agreements.
- Gain expertise in stock control and inventory management protocols.
- Maintain precise records of all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Understand and adhere to Microsoft’s contractual supplier guidelines while maintaining a strong customer orientation.
- Conduct cycle audits and perform data corrections to uphold inventory accuracy.
- Assist in reconciling and reporting any discrepancies in inventory.
- Ensure thorough physical tracking and staging of inventory items.
- Under supervision, carry out the destruction of data-bearing devices following all relevant policies and agreements.
- Comply strictly with all security and data management policies.
- Demonstrate Microsoft’s core cultural values consistently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma plus relevant experience or internship in inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a similar area, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Experience in warehouse or supply chain operations within IT, logistics, or use of heavy equipment such as forklifts.
Security Requirements
Candidates must successfully undergo Microsoft Cloud background checks upon hiring and biennially thereafter, in addition to meeting all necessary customer or government security clearances.
Compensation and Additional Information
The base salary for Logistics Technician roles in Ireland varies by grade: ATR-B ranges from €38,500 to €46,700 annually, while ATR-C ranges from €39,100 to €54,100 annually. Certain positions may qualify for additional benefits and compensation.
