Job description
Role Overview
This role requires managing comprehensive warehouse operations, overseeing tasks such as receiving, inspection, storing, picking, issuing, and transporting materials efficiently. The executive ensures seamless processes to maintain the correct flow of equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse activities to guarantee proper receipt, inspection, storage, picking, issuance, and transportation of items.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies related to delivered equipment and materials upon receipt.
- Manage the accurate collection and distribution of documentation related to receiving, storage, movement, and inventory controls.
- Guarantee timely delivery of correct materials to designated end users at appropriate locations.
- Continuously monitor stock levels daily to avoid shortages and initiate reordering procedures as necessary.
- Conduct preservation tasks on equipment packages to maintain their integrity.
- Handle and monitor scrap tenders related to warehouse materials.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess at least a Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Entry-level applicants are encouraged; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills to work effectively both independently and within teams.
- Exhibit good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of multitasking and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or knowledge of shipyard operations and SAP systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
