Lifting Inspection Engineer

About the Role

CIB Mars is seeking a qualified and experienced Inspection Engineer specializing in lifting equipment to support operations in the UAE, specifically in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This position requires expertise in inspecting lifting equipment such as cranes, hoists, and accessories, ensuring adherence to international standards, safety protocols, and company procedures. The role demands strong technical knowledge, precise documentation skills, client coordination capacity, and a dedication to quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of lifting machinery including cranes, hoists, and associated accessories.
• Ensure all inspected equipment complies with relevant inspection standards, safety guidelines, and client requirements.
• Generate detailed and accurate inspection reports and related technical documents.
• Detect and report defects, nonconformances, hazards, and other inspection concerns.
• Liaise effectively with clients, site representatives, and internal teams during inspection processes.
• Conduct inspection tasks diligently, prioritizing safety and adhering to scheduled timelines.
• Maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and uphold professional ethics throughout inspections.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection quality and technical compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
• Documented experience in inspecting lifting equipment is mandatory.
• Possession of valid LEEA certification is a prerequisite.
• Comprehensive understanding of lifting machinery and international inspection protocols.
• Adept at producing inspection reports and maintaining technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interactions.
• Ability to operate independently at client sites and meet operational deadlines.
• Firm commitment to quality standards, safety laws, compliance requirements, and professional ethics.

Preferred Profile

Candidates with prior experience performing inspections within the UAE, holding professional certifications, and demonstrating sound technical judgment will be prioritized.
