Role Overview
The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) position is key to enhancing the performance of commercial teams by developing scalable, blended learning solutions that foster behavior change, elevate capabilities, and contribute directly to business objectives. While primarily focusing on commercial teams like Sales and Services, the LXD also supports broader organizational learning initiatives by collaborating closely with subject matter experts and leaders across functions.
This role embodies the integration of learning science, enablement, and performance measurement, ensuring that all commercial learning programs are data-driven, accountable, and aligned with company growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver innovative blended learning experiences including self-paced, cohort-based, instructor-led, and performance support formats that are scalable and inclusive.
- Transform complex product, sales, and commercial workflow expertise into engaging learning solutions that promote behavioral change and measurable business results.
- Lead the entire lifecycle of commercial enablement programs from needs assessment through launch, reinforcement, and evaluation.
- Apply creative thinking, problem-solving, and human-centered design principles to develop targeted, practical learning interventions.
- Prototype and refine learning content based on participant feedback, stakeholder input, and performance analytics.
- Facilitate live training sessions both in-person and virtually, acting as a primary or co-facilitator alongside subject matter experts.
- Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to assess capability gaps and performance issues by analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
- Develop learning strategies consistent with Index Exchange’s culture and go-to-market approach.
- Contribute to the overall learning and development strategy by setting standards, design principles, and scalable methods for commercial learning.
- Create digital learning content using authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Leverage sales enablement platforms like Seismic and LMS systems such as Dayforce Learn for coherent learning journeys, content analytics, and reinforcement.
- Collect and analyze learning metrics and participant feedback to consistently enhance learning effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support advanced measurement techniques to link learning activities with behavioral change and business performance.
- Engage with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to co-create learning solutions fostering shared responsibility for development.
- Communicate effectively at all organizational levels to establish credibility as a learning and performance consultant.
- Stay informed on current trends in learning science, sales enablement, and related technologies to align learning initiatives with business expansion goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least five years of experience in designing and implementing Learning & Development programs from needs analysis to evaluation.
- Proficient in creating digital, virtual, and blended learning content using LMS and authoring software such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, and Microsoft Office; video production skills are a plus.
- Strong background in designing product, sales, and skills training targeted at commercial or customer-focused teams, ideally within ad tech or SaaS sectors.
- Experience using learning platforms (e.g., Dayforce Learn), sales enablement tools (e.g., Seismic), and CRM systems like Salesforce.
- Ability to embed learning seamlessly within commercial workflows, enhancing practical application.
- Deep knowledge of adult learning theories, learning sciences, and blended instructional design.
- Experience creating inclusive learning experiences for global and diverse audiences.
- Knowledgeable about learning evaluation, reinforcement strategies, and sustainment best practices.
- Strong insight into commercial business drivers facilitating the translation of business targets into learning plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Proven interpersonal skills to influence and work collaboratively across functions and seniority levels.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity while balancing strategic initiatives with operational execution.
